We acknowledge and respect the Tasmanian Aboriginal peoples as the State’s first peoples and the traditional owners and continuing custodians of the land and waters of this island, lutruwita (Tasmania). We recognise the enduring spiritual, social, cultural and economic importance of traditional lands and waters to Tasmanian Aboriginal people, and the unique and lasting contributions that they have made and continue to make to Tasmania. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
